A Note of Thanks and Gratitude to the Masons of Washington
Thanks to the generous donations by the Masons of Washington, Washington Masonic Charities was able to assist this individual and his family who lost everything in the recent wildfire. Kim Deuser, Case Manager for Washington Masonic Charities received this note of thanks from him.
It’s hard to put in words what the Masons and Kim have done for me and my family. We lost everything in the Babb Road fire: our house, garage, two rvs and two cars. After the fire we had absolutely no idea where we were going to go or do. Kim found us and gave us help. She gave us money and gift cards at the time when it was so much needed. Used the money and the gift cards to buy gas, a rental car, a new pair of shoes, pants, and shirts and food for me and my wife. We had nothing but the clothes on our backs. We were so busy helping others, we forgot about our own home. I have never asked or needed help and the Masons came to our rescue. THANK YOU ALL so much. My dad Gary Van Dyke was a long time member of the Masons and Shrine and he has asked me to join for years and I told him I just didn’t have the time needed to give to them. After seeing what you have done I will be joining as soon as I get all this behind me. My dad Gary passed away a month ago. I miss him every day. Thank you Kim and the Masons. You have given me a lot of hope. And in my life I will be more giving because of what you have done for us and Malden.
