W\Brother John Geier, Master of Steilacoom Lodge, has been admitted, once again, to Madigan Hospital. John has had ongoing problems with his health and unfortunately has had to make many trips to Madigan. He is now recuperating from some of those problems, along with a broken foot. Prayers would not hurt since the broken foot is the least of Worshipful Brother Geier's problems.

District 7 Deputy Named “Citizen of the Year” in Issaquah

V\W\Bill Werner, District Deputy for District 7 and Master of Myrtle Lodge #108 was named Issaquah “Citizen of the Year” at the 2006 Community Awards Banquet May 25.  Bill was commended for his outstanding leadership as president of “Issaquah For Katrina Relief” (IFKR), a community effort that raised over $120,000 to aid the stricken residents of Picayune, Mississippi after the devastation of hurricane Katrina.

IFKR and V\W\B Bill’s efforts can be seen today throughout Picayune, MS where 30,000 displaced residents have been able to purchase food and clothing, and begin rebuilding homes, schools, and churches.

Through V\W\B Bill’s efforts Myrtle Lodge #108 contributed $1000 to assist in rebuilding the Masonic Lodge in Picayune and was an honored guest at a meeting of the Grand Lodge of Mississippi.

V\W\B Bill has also been a volunteer for “Habitat for Humanity”, the “Issaquah Food Bank” and various other community activities in the Issaquah area.  He is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah and the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.
